Memorable Vampire Weekend – Music that Bites!

 

When I first heard Vampire Weekend’s unique sound that mixed a kind of preppy, college literary ,lyric play on words with an afro pop kind of rhythm music, I became a fan.  There is something very “Pied Piper” appealing about their music.

Ezra Koenig (lead vocals, guitar)

Rostam Batmanglij (keyboard, guitar, vocals)

Chris Tomson (drums)

Chris Baio (bass guitar)

Since their beginnings at Columbia University in 2006 , the band has gained significant buzz in the industry with the release of their self titled album.  They are currently on a world wide tour.
